Set in a perfect location in the stunning coastal fishing village of Johnshaven, Seashore Retreat is a lovely cottage set right on the sea front. It truly could not have a better location. The stunning view can be enjoyed all year round from the comfort of the garden summer house. With patio doors leading from the living room right to the decking, there are no shortage of vantage points to watch the waves crashing against the rocks. Both bedrooms are rear facing, which means you can drift off to sleep whilst listening to the sea right outside the window. Johnshaven is a quaint little village on the North East Coast of Scotland, approx a 15-minute drive from both Stonehaven and Montrose. Famous for both fishing and its harbour, it is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a coffee, whilst taking in the magnificent views.
The yearly Johnshaven Fish Festival is a popular event which is a celebration of the villages place in the local maritime history. The Johnshaven Heritage Museum is certainly also worth a visit. Once you have explored the local seafront, then you can venture further afield to Dunnottar Castle, which is around 12 miles away. Be sure to stop in Catterline for a spot of rockpooling or a bite to eat in the local inn.
Both Aberdeen and Dundee are within 1 hours drive. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
