Situated on the shores of Loch Long, Mansefield House has uninterrupted views of the loch, the Arrochar Alps. The house stands in an elevated position with large private gardens of mature shrubs, trees and lawns. Loch Lomond lies 2 miles to the East.

Within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, at the gateway to the Argyll Forest Park, the area is rich with spectacular views and scenery.

Mansefield House is a warm and homely house perfectly suited to families with young children, groups of friends celebrating a special occasion or reunion, as well as walkers and cyclists. There is excellent road and mountain biking on the doorstep. Excellent for wild swimming and paddle boarding. Well behaved pets are very welcome.

Exceptional walking for all ages and abilities, climbing, golf, wilderness mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, sailing and various other water sports are on the doorstep, while the centre of Glasgow and its abundance of culture is only a 45 minute drive away. Perfect for exploring the islands of Argyll, with Oban just over an hour away. Visit Bute, Mull, Islay, or Gigha. Or head to Stirling for some history and heritage.

The immediate area has a wealth of attractions, including Inveraray Castle, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Hill House, the Glengoyne Whisky Distillery, and the glorious gardens of Argyll & Bute. There is something to do in all weathers for all ages.

The village of Arrochar is nestled in the shadow of the Cobbler, beneath the Arrochar Alps, at the head of Loch Long. An attractive village, with a small shop, petrol station, and newspaper shop. A fantastic takeaway offers hand thrown pizzas, burgers and much more.

Supermarkets can be found in Helensburgh, Dumbarton and Balloch, all within 25 minutes drive of Arrochar. Auchencarroch Farm Shop offers wonderful locally sourced food and drink, and is just 15 minutes from the house.

24 hour garage can be found in Luss, 15 minutes drive from Arrochar.

The Village Inn, a great family and pet friendly pub and restaurant serving good food and a wide variety of real ales and whiskies, is just 100 metres from the front door. Other excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity include The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, The George in Inveraray, Luss Seafood Bar and The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel.

Mansefield House is situated at the quieter end of the village of Arrochar, off the main road with easy access to the beach.

Attractive Luss on Loch Lomond 15 minutes drive away, Helensburgh, on the Clyde, 25 minutes, Loch Fyne 20 minutes, Inveraray 25 minutes, Oban 1 hour, Glasgow 45 minutes, Edinburgh 1.5 hours.

The Trossachs, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Oban and the Isles are all within touring distance.
