A cosy wooden cabin nestled in the heart of Kirnan Estate, just park your car and walk up through the woods to the cabin, set in a beautiful clearing within the woods. The cabin has a distinct Scandi design with the wood providing a soft warmth enhanced by the glow of the woodburning stove. The cabin has one king-size bedroom with White Company linen, a shower room with walk-in shower, as well as a small galley kitchen and living room with dining space, furnished to give it a modern, but still cosy look. Guests can enjoy the cabin’s expansive verandah and its own private enclosed BBQ cabin. Perfect for long summer evenings or cosy winter nights.
Kirnan Beg’s main charm is its secluded location within the Estate with easy access to explore the property’s many walking routes and trails. Within season, complimentary salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing is available on the Estate, with complimentary private double-bank fly fishing on 2½ miles of river on the River Add. There’s an excellent pub and restaurant just under a 2-mile flat walk along the glen.
Kirnan Estate makes an ideal base for exploring Argyll and the Kintyre Peninsula with its stunning scenery and rugged coastline. The area is surrounded by Neolithic and early Bronze Age monuments, ancient castles, standing stones and ruined forts. There is a choice of forest trails, offering excellent mountain biking, or the Crinan Canal towpath is ideal for easy walking and cycling. Just a short 5-mile drive takes you to the local town of Lochgilphead, which has a variety of shops, cafés, restaurants, swimming pool, golf course and sports centre. The fishing village of Tarbert (20 miles) gives you easy access to ferry points across Kintyre travelling to Gigha, Arran, Islay and Portavadie. Further afield but offering a great day out are the towns of Oban, the Gateway to the Isles to the north, Inveraray, the capital of Argyll, to the east and Campbeltown to the far south on the Kintyre Peninsula.
