Cosy, tastefully furnished and well equipped, the cottage is ideal for couples, friends and small families. From Fort William (known as the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’) you can travel on the Jacobite steam train across the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, or drive along the ’Road to the Isles’ and sail to the beautiful Isle of Skye. Crossing on the nearby Corran Ferry will allow you to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula with its rocky coastline and white sandy beaches. The small bustling town of Oban (’Gateway to the Isles’) has regular ferries from the harbour to the Inner Isles, including Mull, Staffa and Iona.
Glencoe and Fort William both have ski resorts and are also very popular areas for climbers and walkers. Discover cycling, kayaking, golf, snow boarding, bird watching, fishing or indoor climbing all within easy reach, and for the less energetic there are plenty of gentle forest walks, museums, distilleries, castles, gardens and monuments to visit. The small villages of Glencoe and Ballachulish are a short walk from the cottage and both have a shop, café, bar and restaurant. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
