Enter via the front decking with garden seating, stepping into the large porch with plenty of space for your coats and boots! The spacious living room is elegant and welcoming with a wall mounted wood burner, a huge picture window overlooking the sea and patio doors opening onto the decking boast. There’s a dining area with family-sized table, adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen area with more stunning sea views, making it the ideal place for both eating and socialising in. A hallway from the kitchen accesses three spacious bedrooms, all with fantastic views over the Sound of Kerrera, as well as the family bathroom. There’s a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and spacious master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a super kingsize bed (which on request, can be separated into twin beds if this arrangement is more suitable for your party), plus an extra single bed. Outside, there is ramped access at the rear into the utility room, with ample parking for three cars and a lawned garden.
A bustling west coast harbour town, Oban has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll and known as the ’Gateway to the Isles’, with ferries leaving daily to many of the islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore. There are loads of outdoor sports to enjoy locally, with a kayaking centre which launches into Oban Bay, an excellent riding centre, 18-hole golf course, family friendly boat trips and a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan, which is just a two mile drive along the coastal road. In keeping with its reputation as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, there are some excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby.
There are many more outdoor activities venturing further in the area, including diving, sailing, kayaking, horse riding, golf, mountain biking and fishing. Nearby, there are even also ruined castles such as Dunstaffnage and Kilchurn, beautiful gardens at Arduaine and Crarae, and sites of historical interest, including Kilmartin Glen and the slate island of Easdale. Great days out can include a visit to stunning Glencoe, Ben Nevis in Fort William or historic Inveraray. Beach 3 miles. Pub and restaurant 1 mile.
