Campbell Cottage, situated in the picturesque Argyll village of Arrochar, Loch Long, is a cosy listed cottage. Full of character, Campbell Cottage offers a comfortable, well equipped, warm and snug home from home.

Perfectly suited to families with young children, groups of friends celebrating a special occasion or reunion, as well as walkers looking to escape into the hills of the Arrochar Alps. Well behaved pets are extremely welcome.

Steeped in heritage and history, the cottage forms one side of The Steadings. Built in 1760, they were originally stables where the Duke Of Argyll would keep his horses for the long journeys to and from the Highlands.

The cottage has a large garden backing on to the hills behind. Loch Lomond lies 2 miles to the East.

Sleeping 8 in 4 bedrooms, accommodation includes 1 4ft double bedroom, and 3 bedrooms that can either be made up as king size or twin rooms (king size beds set up as default). All the bedrooms look out over the garden onto the hills behind Arrochar. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath.

Situated on the shores of Loch Long, Arrochar is the gateway to the Arrochar Alps and Argyll Forest Park.

In the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, exceptional walking, wild swimming, paddle boarding, climbing, golf, wilderness mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, sailing and various other water sports are on the doorstep, while the centre of Glasgow and its abundance of culture is only a 45 minute drive away. Oban is just an hour away, with ferries to some of the wonderful west coast islands.

The immediate area has a wealth of attractions, including Inveraray Castle, Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Hill House, the Glengoyne Whisky Distillery, and the glorious gardens of Argyll & Bute. There is something to do in all weathers for all ages.

The village of Arrochar is nestled in the shadow of the Cobbler, beneath the Arrochar Alps, at the head of Loch Long. An attractive village, with a small shop and petrol station.

Supermarkets can be found in Helensburgh, Dumbarton and Balloch, all within 25 minutes drive of Arrochar. Auchencarroch Farm Shop offers wonderful locally sourced food and drink, and is just 15 minutes from the house.

A 24 hour garage can be found in Luss, 15 minutes drive from Arrochar.

Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, at the gateway to the Argyll Forest Park, the area is rich with spectacular views and scenery.

The Village Inn, a great family and pet friendly pub and restaurant serving good food and a wide variety of real ales and whiskies, is just 100 metres from the front door. Other excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity include The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, The George in Inveraray, Luss Seafood Bar and The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel.

Campbell Cottage is situated at the back of the village of Arrochar, off the main road.

Attractive Luss on Loch Lomond 15 minutes drive away, Helensburgh, on the Clyde, 25 minutes, Loch Fyne 20 minutes, Inveraray 25 minutes, Oban 1 hour, Glasgow 45 minutes, Edinburgh 1.5 hours.

The Trossachs, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Oban and the Isles are all within touring distance.

Located in Arrochar, this cottage is in a rural area and near the beach. Hill House and Inveraray Jail are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Loch Lomond Golf Club and Kilcreggan Ferry Terminal. Traveling with kids? Consider SEA LIFE Loch Lomond Aquarium and Benmore Botanic Garden. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
