Eckford House is a traditionally renovated country house with panoramic veiws of the Benmore Vally. Originally owned by the Younger family in the 1800's. The house was initially lived in by the factor of the Benmore Estate and encompasses a wealth of botanical history, consisting of vast charted collections of seedlings from around the globe. (Douglas Firs, Giant Conifers, rare species of Rhododendron, Magnolia and Azaleas.) The garden has ten acres of exquisite exploring.

Recently renovated to very high standard while keeping traditional character of the building, with underfloor heating throughout. Eckford House has wood burning stoves with marble and wooden fireplaces creating a homely a warm ambience.

Large living room, with dining space to accommodate 10 people 50" smart T.V, Bluetooth music system.

A solid oak kitchen with a Belfast sink, electric range cooker, large kitchen table ideal for family get-togethers.

Master bedroom consists of a luxurious super king sized bed with jack and jill ensuite, luxury shower with body jets and large shower head.
2nd bedroom, kingsized bed with jack and jill ensuite.
3rd bedroom double bed, additional sleeping space on a double high quality and comfortable pull out couch this room also has own ensuite bathroom.

There is additional sleep space in the large living room on a double high quality and comfortable pull out couch.

With over 4 hectares of ground to explore, the gardens consist of a large rare charted collection of rhododendron, azaleas, Douglas firs, magnolia trees and more. The garden also has magnificent waterfall features and trails throughout the garden.

A relaxing jacuzzi style hot tub with stunning multicolour LED lighting and bluetooth music system, situated in a log cabin decorated in warm fairy lights, this is situated next to the house perfect for unwinding after a fun-filled and busy day.

Benmore has lots to offer including Benmore botanical gardens, pucks glen and more spectacular scenery between the mountains and lochs. Dunoon its self is a seaside town filled with quirky shops, cafe's bars and restaurants.

We aim to give our guests as much privacy as possible, we are available if required.
You may see us dealing with our livestock occasionally.

Please note, additional guests brought to Eckford House either planning to enter property has been accounted and paid for.
Any events intended to be held at Eckford House need prior approval.

Located in Dunoon, this vacation home is in a rural area and by the sea. Castle House Museum and Newark Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Puck's Glenn and Holy Loch Marina. Benmore Botanic Garden and Quadmania are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with windsurfing and sailing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with mountain biking and cycling.
