NEW FOR AUTUMN 2022 - Kennacraig Lodge is a superb, luxurious self-catering holiday home set on the spectacular West Coast Scotland, the north end of the majestic Kintyre Peninsula.
The perfect location for families or friends offering a wonderful opportunity to explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands and the nearby islands. This region is made famous by Sir Paul McCartney in the late 1970’s.
Finished with quality bespoke furnishings, fittings and artwork Kennacraig Lodge is dominated by spacious living areas and views. Guests will appreciate all the modern and luxury comforts this holiday home has to offer. Providing a high standard of living for up to eight guests. Maximum 6 adults and 2 children.
On the ground floor, you will find the spacious dual aspect lounge, with comfortable sofas and a 55" Smart TV. Featuring an open plan kitchen, breakfast bar and dining table for get-togethers throughout the day. In the evening convert the dining room to a family entertainment space with pool table, outside patio, seating and fire pit. A wonderful area to relax and spend quality time together.
Upstairs features the second open plan living area with covered balcony. Here you can soak up the ever-changing vistas from this wonderful living space. For entertainment there is a blue-tooth speaker and a 45" Smart TV.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Featuring a double bedroom on the ground floor with a shared family bathroom. Perfect for anyone with accessibility issues, ramped access and walk-in shower.
Upstairs there are two spacious and beautifully appointed bedrooms, a master king bedroom and a twin bedroom with two additional trundle beds suitable for children, all with quality mattresses and bed linen. Travel cot available.
The upstairs family bathroom has a deep oval bath with overhead shower unit and toilet.
Patio doors open up to the outdoor terrace and garden that catches the afternoon sunshine. An outdoor BBQ is available for guests use. Enjoy alfresco meals or relaxed afternoons soaking up the ever-changing vistas, including watching the wildlife and the ferries in the distance arriving and departing for the Scottish Islands.
Whitehouse sits on the edge of Kintyre peninsula, 6 miles southwest of the idyllic village of Tarbert where you will discover an array of cafés, bars and local art galleries. Tarbert hosts several popular seafood and music festivals throughout the year and is home to the Scottish Series Yacht Race. For history lovers visit Robert the Bruce's 14th century castle above the town.
From the Tarbert harbour you can catch one of the regular car ferry crossings to Portavadie and explore the Cowal Peninsula. The beautiful islands of Arran, Islay, Gigha and Jura are easily accessible from nearby ferry ports. Head south for the Mull of Kintyre with white sandy beaches and magnificent golf courses, or north to Kilmartin Glen steeped in history and archaeological sites. The Campbeltown Distilleries, and Inveraray Jail and Castle also make for great days out. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.
There is an abundance of wildlife and a variety of outdoor activities including sailing, sea fishing, cycling, walking and windsurfing.

This vacation home is located in Tarbert. Luckenbooth Gallery and Secret Garden Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Tarbert Golf Club and Tarbert Harbour.
