There is a huge open plan living and kitchen area with a dining table for up to 10 guests, along with a fully equipped kitchen and utility room. The outside ramp to the right hand side of the building provides disabled access into the kitchen, with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs for easy accessibility. Bedroom 1 - Downstairs Zip and Link beds can be converted into a king or 2 singles, also has a full en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 - Downstairs Zip and Link beds can be converted into a king or 2 singles Bedroom 3 - Upstairs King size bed, also has a full en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Bedroom 4 - Upstairs King size bed, also has a Jack & Jill bathroom. The upstairs landing also has a double sofa bed and there is an additional full bathroom downstairs. There is a 'work shop' which is a great space to keep bikes. Located just 20-25 minutes outside of Bristol there are lots of places to visit during your stay. It is great spot from which to explore Cheddar, Bath, Glastonbury and many more. The Crown BS40 8AY is roughly a 15 minute walk from The Pole Barn and offers reasonably priced, good food and has a nice garden for warmer days, it also does a great Sunday lunch. The Prince of Waterloo in Winford and The George & Dragon in Felton are the next nearest pubs. There are 3 pubs in Chew Magna, The Pelican, The Bear & Swan and The Queens Arms, which all serve food daily (The Pelican also does a lovely Sunday lunch) Regil hosts lots of wonderful walks, many of which lead to the Mendips, there are guide maps at the barn. The local school has tennis and squash courts avaliable to hire (Chew Valley School) The nearest place for horse riding is at Rowberrow (tynings-trekking) Bristol Corinthian sailing club at Cheddar hold regular open paddle board and kayak sessions. Also AllAboard Watersports in Bristol Harbour offers water based activities of all types. Both Chew and Blagdon lakes have outstanding reputations for fishing. Please note that due to the architecture of the building there are no curtains on the landing where the sofa bed is located. There is also a high window in one of the double bedrooms upstairs which also does not have curtains. Please do not feed the resident animals. There is enough parking for 4 vehicles outside the barn and in the garage. Late check out and early check in is available on request when possible. Fees apply to cover cleaners cost.
This vacation home is located in Bristol. Clifton Suspension Bridge and Tyntesfield are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Stockwood Vale Golf Club and Mendip Spring Golf and Country Club. SS Great Britain and Clifton Downs and Observatory are also worth visiting.
