Ayrshire has a fantastic coastline with villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore, perfect for walkers of all abilities with the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk close by. Inland there is walking, cycling, gardens and castles to visit along with opportunities to ride and fish, and Championship golf courses such as Royal Troon, Rowallan Castle and Turnberry. Craufurdland Castle with activities such as Tree Top Trails, archery and crate climbing will be an experience you will not forget. Culzean Castle Country Park is a National Trust park and the beautifully restored Dumfries House is well worth booking a tour. Catch a ferry to explore the islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute, or Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula which gives you great access to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily reached for a day trip. Beach 8 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
