Laigh Auchenharvie Cottage is delightfully furnished throughout, and the large open plan living/dining/kitchen boasts a wood burner stove perfect for those cosy nights in. The garden at Laigh Auchenharvie Cottage is private with its lovely views over towards the Isle of Arran, you may find it difficult to tear yourself away to explore the area.
Ayrshire offers unspoilt scenery and a varying coastline with villages, sandy beaches, and rocky coves to explore while inland, there are gardens and castles to visit, riding, racing and a choice of golf courses. Culzean Castle (owned by the National Trust for Scotland) is spectacular and is Ayrshire’s most popular tourist attraction. The surrounding country park, extending over 550 acres, has a network of wooded trails passing along the beach. Craft shows, country dancing and walks spotting fungi are attractions hosted during the year. Laigh Auchenharvie Cottage is situated only a short drive from the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow with museums, gardens, art galleries, superb shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife. Only 25 miles from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, one of Scotland’s most picturesque areas with excellent outdoor activities to be enjoyed including walking, cycling, golf, fishing, pony trekking and water sports. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan, whilst a short drive leads to Ayr, a traditional seaside town. The historic cities of Edinburgh and Stirling can be reached in an hour.
