Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes are situated about one mile outside the village of Merthyr Mawr; they are a huge network of dunes, rolling over towards the Ogmore/Porthcawl coast and once the largest sand dune system in Europe.
The dunes are very popular with families, runners and local wildlife enthusiasts and there are a host of walks locally along with the Welsh Coastal Path. The Bridgend Designer Outlet, Cardiff and Swansea are within easy reach with plenty of shops, sporting events and theatres to keep you busy.
The town has excellent transport links and well known for the famous Elvis Festival. New road apartment offers a great base for keen golfers, surfers, cyclists, adventurers, or those looking for somewhere for a relaxing holiday and you can reach Coney beach and Griffin Park on foot taking in the sights.
