A cosy, converted coach house for two, with a key to Peckover’s garden.
Peckover Stable Lodge is part of an 18th-century coach house, tucked away next to Peckover House.
On the ground floor, the door opens into a spacious kitchen and dining area which leads to the shower room and utility room. The kitchen overlooks an inner courtyard which has a south-facing seating area and is also used for guest parking. It is shared with neighbouring holiday cottages Coach House Loft and Wainman House. A central staircase leads to the open-plan first floor with a small sitting room area on one side and bedroom area on the other, both featuring exposed low beams at each side. The areas are partially screened by mid-height walls which encase the stairs.
You’ll have free entry to Peckover House when it's open, and a key to the door that leads from the courtyard into Peckover’s garden. You can continue to explore the grounds when the other visitors have left for the day.
The coach house is in the heart of Wisbech, 5 minutes from the harbour and 30 minutes from the coast. The Wash National Nature Reserve is 16 miles away. A short distance further, the coastline changes from dramatic saltmarshes to miles of sandy beaches, pinewoods and dunes, stretching from Hunstanton to Brancaster and beyond Holkham to Wells-next-the-Sea.
