Sleeping up to eighteen guests in seven bedrooms with seven bathrooms, this superb house is perfect for family getaways, group holidays and celebration weekends. Due to the age of the property, you’ll find low doorways and uneven stairs, however, it offers wonderful natural character set out over three floors, and although large is beautifully traditional.
As soon as you step inside you’ll find original oak doors and heavily beamed walls and ceilings. The kitchen boasts an oiled fired Aga (switched off Jun–Sep) and a wood burner is set pride of place within an inglenook fireplace in the cosy living room. Outside in the enclosed rear garden is a hot tub positioned under a timber-framed veranda. From the front lawn, far reaching views stretch over the Jodrell Bank Observatory, which is within easy walking distance. Finally, Brookbank Farm also has four of its own fishing lakes shared with the local angling club, so day tickets can be arranged.
Situated in stunning surroundings, the location of the farmhouse is perfect for those who love the outdoors, and for exploring the beautiful Cheshire countryside. You only have to step outside to find numerous walking routes and if you prefer, there are also some fantastic cycle paths with some of the best cycling in the country found on the Cheshire Cycleway. If you fancy a drink the nearest pub is just a 15-minute walk away and the friendly owners can suggest a range of activities to book, including boot camps, spa treatments, catering and cocktail making classes (charges apply).
