The 17th Century Farm and Barn are built of local pink stone in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Our scenic rural location is surrounded by acres of fields and woods - our only neighbours being sheep, wild birds, and our rescue hens. Perfect for large families or groups of friends to enjoy a healthy break away from it all with
clean fresh air, starry skies, no passing cars or people. There are many beautiful walks from the doorstep – one favourite is a circular route along the nearby spectacular Roaches ridge via picture-perfect Wincle and its excellent country pub the Ship Inn.
High Ridge Barn is architect designed and recently renovated throughout to provide luxurious modern and comfortable self-catering accommodation with superb views across Swythamley valley.
The enormous double-height barn has 4 double bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people plus babes in arms, 2 of which can be arranged as large singles or king/super king sized beds. 3 bathrooms mean no queues for the loo! The living/dining room with Scandi log-burner leads directly from the new high-end kitchen equipped with Neff appliances and is so well equipped our guests tell us we have things here they didn’t know they needed! Everything from super-fast broadband to 1,000 thread bed linen to fluffy towels, bathrobes, slippers and logs down to an oyster shucker – High Ridge Barn has it all.
The Barn has private half-acre landscaped dog-secure gated and fenced gardens and parking for up to 5 cars. There’s a large wood-fired outdoor sauna, a BBQ, secure bike storage, and a dog grooming cabin with all the mod cons. Up to 4 pets are very welcome.
For special occasions please ask for details of our Celebration Packages. Fantastic bespoke cakes from an expert local baker, wonderful flowers courtesy our skilled and creative florist, bunting, balloons - all ready for your arrival. At Christmas the Barn is decorated with a real tree, dog-safe decorations, oodles of warm white fairy lights, illuminated wreaths and lots of festive Scandi decorations and LED candles.
Leek is a mere 15-minute drive away and has a great selection of supermarkets and award-winning restaurants, takeaways and deliveries.
If you do need to work without disturbing the rest of your group, we'll set up one of the four bedrooms as an office with a desk, Anglepoise lamp, colour printer and a Herman Miller ergonomic chair. Zoom and Teams meetings are easy courtesy the superfast broadband.
