The village is also home to ancient castle ruins, making it a great spot to immerse yourself in history, or for the avid outdoorsman, nearby you can find several wondrous walking routes, including the 177 mile walk of Offa’s Dyke following the English/Welsh border, as well as Gop Hill, Allt Y Craig and Golden Grove all being in reach too. For a day out with a difference, head to Prestatyn to surround yourself with the excitement of the coast, here you can find a wide selection of watersports for all to get involved in, or to simply observe a natural water lover, be sure to check out the SeaQuarium at Rhyl, where you can also find a quaint pavilion theatre, a miniature railway, and even more beaches to explore. Within reach of the seaside town of Colwyn Bay and the traditionally Roman city of Chester, Ty Cerrig makes a fantastic base for exploring this exciting area of Wales and beyond.
