Sleeping up to ten guests, Hastings House is a homely property with plenty of charm throughout. Nestled in the popular coastal village of Seahouses in Northumberland, it’s perfect for large family staycations and getaways with friends. You’ll have full access to this dog friendly property which includes a spacious first floor living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate dining area, five bedrooms (three with ensuite showers), plus two family bathrooms and outdoor space boasting a hot tub.

The Space:
Hastings House’s kitchen really does have the wow factor! With beautiful cabinets and granite work surfaces, the kitchen boasts a six ring ceramic hob on a double electric oven, a microwave, six slice toaster, coffee machine, bread maker and a smoothie maker among several other features. Guests will also have use of two dishwashers, a fridge-freezer and a separate drinks chiller.

Enjoy your meals in the dining room which is home to a solid oak table that can comfortably seat ten guests. The room is cosy and warm, boasting underfloor heating and a log burner. You can even watch the TV whilst you dine if you wish! Cookware, crockery and serving utensils are provided for your convenience so you can prepare and enjoy home cooked meals during your stay. In the warmer months, you can open the door to the decked area for an alfresco dining experience.

You'll find three bedrooms on the ground floor of the property. These include two Super King bedrooms and one large King bedroom. All of the beds are zip and link so they can be split into singles upon request prior to arrival. Two of the ground floor bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms, whilst the third room has use of the adjacent family shower room.

Head upstairs and you’ll find the living room. With a Juliet balcony looking over open countryside to the sea and the pretty village of Beadnell in the distance, this space offers breathtaking views. At one end of the room is seating for all guests in front of the cosy log burner and wall mounted TV which offers access to streaming services as well as all of the usual channels you would expect. The other end of the lounge area is perfect for relaxing with one of the many great books available in the property’s library. Suited to families with children, a variety of games are also on offer in the living room at Hastings House.

You'll also find a further two bedrooms on the first floor. Both bedrooms benefit from Super King beds, which can be split into singles upon request prior to arrival if this is more suitable for your stay. The bedroom at the rear of the property has an ensuite shower room and the bedroom at the front is home to a balcony and has access into the adjacent bathroom which boasts a bathtub with an overhead shower.

Robes and slippers are provided in the non-ensuite bedrooms, a lovely added bonus.

Hastings House’s fantastic features continue into the garage where you’ll find a great area for children and teenagers to use in the form of a games room. The garage also provides an area to store leisure gear which is a real added bonus when holidaying in Northumberland.

Outside at Hastings House, you’ll find a cedar 8-seater hot tub. Please note that use of the hot tub will need to be requested prior to your stay.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Ample private on-site parking is available to guests staying at Hastings House.

Please note that prior permission must be granted to use the hot tub at Hastings House.

Up to five well behaved dogs are permitted to stay at Hastings House per reservation. Please contact our friendly team prior to your stay to discuss the number of dogs you wish to bring with you.

The Neighborhood:
With a bustling harbour and a seaside holiday resort feel, Seahouses is packed with charisma. Treat the family to a game of crazy golf or go rock pooling. The charming village offers a whole host of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and shops all within a 0.8 mile walk or drive so you won’t tire of things to do. If you like horse riding, there is a riding school close by and two incredible golf courses on the doorstep.

Hop on one of the boat trips from Seahouses and take a journey to the Farne Islands. Just a couple of miles off the coast, this cluster of islands are one of the UK’s top wildlife experiences. It even has Sir David Attenborough’s stamp of approval as he declared it as his favourite place in the UK to see nature at its best. The Farne Islands are known for its birds with 23 different breeds spotted here, including colourful puffins and razorbills. There is a high chance you’ll also see seals bobbing in the sea whilst you’re on the boat.

Getting Around:
The closest East Coast Main Line train stations are located in Alnmouth or Berwick-upon-Tweed which are roughly 30 minutes away from Seahouses by car.

Hop on the X18 bus route which takes you through to Newcastle with stops in beautiful areas of Northumberland like Amble and Alnwick.
