To the side of the house is a gate which provides easy access to the beautiful coastal path on Hain Walk, which leads to the beaches of St Ives in one direction and Carbis Bay in another within a short walk, this cliffside path offers a fabulous opportunity to spot wildlife, you may even be accompanied by seals or dolphins splashing in the surf, if you’re lucky, Carbis Bay Beach is a slice of paradise with azure waters lapping its golden shores, it has a seasonal lifeguard service, so why not try surfing the waves or enjoying a swim in the blue flag awarded waters, many of St Ives beaches are stunning with white sand and crystal clear waters, an alternative way of touring the surrounding area is by hopping aboard the scenic railway, it runs beside the beaches with sea views all the way. St Ives is a beautiful traditional Cornish fishing village, surrounded by beaches and set around a pretty arc shaped working harbour, where fisherman land a daily catch of fresh sea food to supply its plethora of cafes and restaurants, some like the Michelin Plate, Porthminster Beach Café, set right on the beach, with a stunning view to match the food, St Ives has inspired many artists and a tour of its galleries and boutiques among its cobbled streets will showcase this or to see famous work visit the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
