Fistral Quay, Newquay

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 11

Lying between Fistral beach and Newquay harbour, is this fantastic terraced house, Fistral Quay, where you can enjoy the surf capital and all it has to offer. Brilliantly suited for a large family or a group of friends due to its well-placed six bedrooms, this property is great for exploring other parts of Cornwall as well if you want to get to know this amazing part of the UK. A spacious, farmhouse-style kitchen is home to a large double oven so you can cook up a wonderful meal for all the group, and what better place to share it than around the long dining table in the open-plan living area with bench seats for the perfect opportunity to spend time together reminiscing or making new memories. After you've eaten all you can, retire to the large corner sofa - you might all fit on! - and comfy tub chairs to watch a movie or a favourite show on the wall-mounted flatscreen TV before bed. The ground floor benefits from two bedrooms, a twin and a double as well as a large modern bathroom with a bath. Upstairs has a shower room and four more bedrooms, including two doubles, a twin and a single all decorated in a light and airy style and with the property being so close to the harbour, you'll probably be waking up to the sound of the gulls flying over the bay. Heading back downstairs and outside will take you to the decking that is home to a Lazy Spa hot tub, superb for relaxing those muscles after a day on the surfboard. Newquay's laid back charm can be seen everywhere you go, just take a walk to the centre of town and see for yourself; browse the local shops for some seaside souvenirs, or if you've really fallen in love with the lifestyle invest in a surfboard from one of the many surfing shops. Tolcarne Bay, a fabulous crescent-shaped sandy bay, is the base of ElementalUK, a multi-activity centre with lessons in surfing, body-boarding, paddle-boarding, kayaking, archery and even bouldering, so really are spoilt for choice. An exciting day out with the kids can be had at Camel Creek Adventure Park, just under a 30-minute drive away towards Padstow, where there are over 40 attractions, with family-friendly rides, giant play areas and even animal encounters! The possibilities for adventure are endless in Newquay, and Fistral Quay will serve as your dream holiday home from which you can explore.
