ST IVES.
St Ives, the most famous of Cornish holiday towns, loved for generations, is easy to reach by road or by air and easy by train. Fine golden sand, crystal clear water, warmed all year round by the Gulf Stream. Awake to the gulls' cry, dress quickly and jog down the cool granite streets for a solitary early morning walk along the beach, cool sand and warm water caress your soles, tickle your toes. Life is cradled around the harbour where boats still land good catches of fresh fish for the local restaurants to nourish you with. Brought ashore on the ancient granite quays, the catch is of the highest quality for some of Britain's finest restaurants. A maze of tiny cobbled streets to wander through, lined by fishermen's cottages. In the summer there's a blaze of colour all around the town with houses smothered in baskets of blooms, parks and public areas a rich spectrum of radiant colours. The mild climate and almost frost-free winters make it possible to grow plants and shrubs normally native to semi-tropical countries hundreds of miles further south.
The Eden Project, St Michael's Mount near Penzance, The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, Lands End, The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, Paradise Park in Hayle and lovely Coastal Walks.

Located in St Ives, this vacation home is near the beach. Wharfside Shopping Centre and Trevaskis Farm are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Tehidy Country Park. St Ives Museum and Paradise Park and JungleBarn are also worth visiting.
