Unlike many of the villages to the north of the coast, Mevagissey still retains the charm and character that you would expect, yet offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants serving the catch of the day, please note it is a steep hill back up to the property. For the more energetic visitor there is the coast path that skirts around the whole of this unique county, where you will be sure to find your own cove or sandy beach along the way and discover 'real Cornwall'. Despite enjoying this quiet location, all of Cornwall's must see sites and areas are within easy access, 'The Lost Garden of Heligan', famed for being the birth place of the Eden Project and the Eden Project itself are a short drive away and are both a must see for any visitor to the area. Should you tear yourself away from the property, Truro is a short drive and offers a cathedral and narrow cobbled streets and a wealth of shops, restaurants and a theatre, showing both local and international talent. With its proximity to road links, even Lands End and the Lizard Peninsula are well worth a visit. On entering this substantial accommodation, you will immediately be greeted by a sense of space and light and as you would expect from a property of this size, the shared areas offer ample space to enjoy each other s company yet enough to find piece and quiet and settle down with a good book. Offering 2 lounges, both with ample comfy seating (one with TV/DVD) enjoying the stunning views. The dining room, again with beautiful views is a fantastic room for everyone to come together with a table big enough to sit the whole party or the tables can be separated for a smaller more intimate setting. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with ample storage and space to whip up a meal for a large party with large gas cooker with hobs, extractor fan, separate grill, griddle, dishwasher, microwave and 2 fridges. The handy utility room houses the washing machine, tumble drier and freezer. Also on the ground floor you will find one of the nine bedrooms with shower cubicle and basin, TV and two separate WC s. Heading upstairs you will find eight further bedrooms all with en suite shower rooms, WC s and TV s. 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom benefit from uninterrupted sea views. 3 further doubles and 1 twin can also be found on this floor with a family bathroom. The outside space does not disappoint and is well proportioned to cater for the amount of guests the house can accommodate. Spacious gardens offering an enclosed patio area with garden furniture, BBQ and large lawn area to the front of the property make the perfect area for a family BBQ, games or to just sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the views surrounding you. The hidden gem is an enclosed heated outdoor swimming pool, that has shared usage with the owner and open mid May until mid September weather permitting. There is ample parking.
