Fisherman's Cottage, Porthleven

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 2

Set just a stone’s throw away from Porthleven Harbour in Cornwall is Fisherman’s Cottage. This traditional, stone-built cottage has been refurbished to a good standard boasting white-washed walls and contemporary appliances as well as a characterful woodburning stove and exposed stone work; the perfect setting for couples seeking a romantic coastal break with their beloved canine companion. Enter from street level into the light living room with its stripped floorboards and stylish leather sofa complete with woodburning stove; the perfect place to unwind after a full day of exploration in Cornwall. From the living room, descend to the lower-ground-floor to find a kitchen/diner where you can have a delicious meal to be enjoyed around the dining table. When the evening draws to a close, stairs lead up into the bedroom, which has a king- size bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and separate double size walk-in shower offering the choice of a relaxing soak or a quick freshen up. To the rear of the property is a covered storage space suitable for body boards or hanging wetsuits to dry. During the day, enjoy a leisurely stroll into the heart of Porthleven where you will find a good selection of cafes, shops, galleries and pubs including a small supermarket for your daily needs. Porthleven is a fantastic base for holidays, while away sunny days upon the shores of Porthleven Beach, discover the Lizard Heritage Coast and its endless beaches and cliff top walks along the rugged coastline or venture west to find Marazion. Here you can walk or take a boat (depending on the tide) to the iconic and breath-taking St Michael's Mount where you can tour the medieval castle and the sub-tropical gardens. Venture to Praa Sands to test your swing at its 9-hole golf course or make your way to Loe Pool, the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall. Whisk your loved one away for a romantic break at Fisherman’s Cottage.
