Based at the centre of the village, Lavender Barn is the perfect property for those wishing to stay close to a number of amenities, including a selection of shops, a convenience store, local pubs and cafés, all within walking distance. Head to the picturesque Crantock Beach, boasting a vast expanse of golden sand, backed by dunes and offering fantastic surfing conditions, as do many of the beaches along Cornwall’s Atlantic coast. Walkers and cyclists will find pleasure exploring the glorious South West Coast Path, which spans across the coast in both directions. Venture south along the St Agnes Heritage Coast to Perranporth, where you'll find a three-mile stretch of beautiful sandy beach with rockpools and a variety of watersports. Alternatively, head north along the coast towards the popular seaside town of Newquay, filled with some of excellent attractions including three stunning beaches, a harbour, zoo and aquarium. There are also the dramatic cliffs at Cligga Head mine, the St Agnes Head Observatory, which is a spectacular location to enjoy an evening stargazing, while the National Trust’s Godrevy and Chapel Porth nature reserve will be a hit will nature lovers. From here, you can travel to the Trevose Head Heritage Coast, passing by Carnewas at Bedruthan Steps, Trevose Headland Nature Reserve, and the picturesque Trevose Head Lighthouse which dates back to the 19th century.
