Treat yourself to a delicious meal on Porthminster Beach, its just a short walk from the apartment and there is a choice of café or fine dining restaurant, the sea views are breath-taking, St Ives is surrounded by glorious sandy beaches, a pretty working harbour and pretty cobbled streets full of boutiques, cafes, unique shops and galleries, a visit to the largest, the Tate and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden highlights the towns link with artist worldwide with many exhibitions to enjoy. The South West Coast Path is a walker’s paradise, it circles Cornwall’s coastline, and you can join it just a few steps from the apartment, locally it heads towards Zenor in one direction and the Hayle Estuary and Carbis Bay Beach in the other, like the scenic railway, which follows a similar stunning coastline journey with breath-taking views all the way. Carbis Bay Beach is a spectacular stretch of golden sand, with award winning, Blue Flag status, crystal clear waters, this secluded bay is lifeguarded at peak times, so ideal for experiencing the water sports on offer. Watching the sun set over St Ives is hard to match but with St Michaels Mount, near Penzance in the background its truly majestic and well worth a visit, just like a romantic night out at the open air theatre, near Lands End, The Minack is dramatically cut out of the edge of a Cornish cliffside, venture into the tropics of the rainforest at the Eden Project, near St Austell, or trace the filming locations for the BBC TV series Poldark or Doc Martin both filmed in Cornwall, the little ones will love the animals at Newquay Zoo or Paradise Park, near Hayle.
