Situated on the Devon and Cornwall Border, in South Cornwall there is plenty of exploring to do and admire the rich history of this Castle dating back to 1698. On the River Tamar take a boat trip, hire some paddleboards or kayaks. Venture further afield and explore the remarkable South Coast, Whitsand Bay offering four miles of golden sands accessed via a steep cliff path. The nearby South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs, offering walks to Portwrinkle, Downderry, Looe and Polperro. Take a day clay pigeon shooting, wine tasting, try 4x4 off roading all available at the Castle (at an additional cost) or explore the stunning gardens and an afternoon of croquet or bowles on the lawn. If all this sounds too exhausting, a day relaxing by the heated swimming pool is never wasted time. From the moment you park at this magical fairy tale, you ll never want to leave. A welcome like no other, step inside the grand entrance hall to find spacious living spaces, period features and elegance at every turn. The interiors are stylish throughout from the sumptuous drawing room with cosy fire, to the morning room which is perfect to relax and watch the Smart TV, in front of the open fire, if you can move away from the outlook onto the southern terrace.
