Sanderling is a Grade 2 listed 200 year old Georgian townhouse
50 yards from the seafront. The house has been lovingly restored and offers comfortable and modern facilities.
Easy walking distance to Penzance town, parks, beach and boat trips. Close to the art deco Jubilee Pool (thermally heated lido) The perfect location for exploring West Cornwall, the SW coast path and surfing hotspots. Mousehole, Marazion and St Michael's Mount are nearby and other Cornish beauty spots are within easy reach.
The space
The house has been sympathetically and lovingly restored keeping the style and elegance of a Georgian townhouse with a clean modern look and facilities. The ground floor has a cosy sitting room with 2 sofas, Smart TV, dining area and well equipped modern kitchen. Outside at the back is a private yard and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer for guests to use.
Upstairs is a comfortable bedroom with King size Hypnos bed, feature fireplace and second Smart TV. Also on this floor is the fully tiled bathroom which has a modern but classic look. There is a corner shower, toilet and sink - we do not have a bath. The large attic bedroom has a Super King Hypnos bed which can also be converted to 2 single beds depending on your preference. It is a light and airy room with sight of the sea. There is plenty of space for clothes and there is a Smart TV too.
Sanderling provides a welcoming home from home for a short or long break here in west Cornwall. It is an ideal base for exploring the delights of Cornwall and relaxing after the days adventures.
Artwork - by Caroline Hone is displayed throughout the house. Caroline lived and worked near Penzance for many years before relocating to Scotland. She still has strong connections with this area and we are very lucky to be able to show her work at Sanderling. The paintings are to be enjoyed but many of them are for sale. There is a price list in the house and sales can be organised through Gael.
Guest access
