September Cottage is a traditional Cornish cottage beautifully modernised and furnished in a minimalist style using neutral greys and chalky whites to make the most of the natural light. Situated in the heart of Helford just by the creek, it is a few minutes walk to the village pub, shop and the sailing club. This stunning, comfortable cottage will ensure a lovely relaxing holiday whatever the season.
On entering September Cottage you walk into an open plan living space, with bleached plank flooring throughout, an enormous L shaped sofa welcomes you to relax in front of the Smart TV with Netflix and enjoy the cosy wood burner.
The fully equipped kitchen is a bright, white space with stone worktops, all the appliances - dishwasher, SMEG washer/dryer, fridge/freezer all concealed to maximise space and there is a dining table for four.
There are useful shelves and hooks as you ascend the wooden painted stairs to the bathroom with bath and overhead rainforest shower, a heated towel-rail and underfloor heating. Then onto a small double room, fitted with ample built in storage a platform for the bed and decorated in greys and whites. The larger twin room has two single beds, a big wardrobe and views of the upper creek and valley behind on the edge of the public footpath to Frenchman’s Creek.
The terrace above the house is for use by next doors cottage only and does not belong to September Cottage, therefore may not be accessed. It is also very steep and can be slippery underfoot so please take great care and ensure children do not access.
Bed linen and towels are provided, the pillows and duvets are all feather and down. The electricity is included, plenty of hot water for 4 showers a day. During winter months we provide kindling and logs. Parking is usually available in the road around the creek opposite the house, there is also a pay and display car park in the village.
Short breaks are available between October to April. During school holidays minimum 7 day booking. Normal changeover days are Friday or Saturday - please ask if alternative dates are required and I will do my best to accommodate.
Boats, kayaks and paddle boards can be launched into the tidal creek just a few steps from the house.
Helford is a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty and is on the SW Coastal path, there are many beautiful secluded coves within walking distance of the house and further afield spectacular beaches such as Kynance Cove, Poldhu and Gunwalloe.
Located in Helston, this cottage is on the beach. Poldark Mine and Carwinion House and Garden are local landmarks, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit The Old Cider Barn Arts and Crafts Centre and Trevaskis Farm.
