Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Town: Nearby St Ives, the seaside hamlet of Carbis Bay is well renowned for its stunning stretch of white sandy beach. The beach has a subtropical feel to it thanks to the turquoise water and the shady setting, making it ideal for a relaxing day at the shore. Ocean Sports Center is located on beach, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, why not rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and get out on the ocean instead. Treat yourself to a spa day at the boutique hotel that overlooks the beach and has a lovely patio where cocktails may be sipped in the Cornish weather. Carbis Bay is home to a handful of small businesses and eateries, as well as a fish-and-chip takeaway and a railway branchline that serve the community. The rail ride from Carbis Bay to St Ives is one of the most stunning in the country.

Located in St Ives, this cottage is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Marazion Marsh, while St. Ives Theatre and Barbara Hepworth Museum are cultural highlights. Ready for a night out? Consider Acorn Theatre and Gwennap Pit. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and hiking/biking trails.
