Blankednick Lodge is the jewel in the Blankednick Boltholes holiday lets with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living area and even a log burner (for cooler Cornish nights!)
We have refurbished the Lodge to a very high specification this winter and are proud to present a fully functional and charming property perfectly designed for a simple and enjoyable holiday experience. From the functional kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine) to the wood burner, the Lodge allows everything to run smoothly ensuring that everyone has a peaceful and enjoyable break.
Outside there is a wonderful South facing private balcony and lawn with stunning views across the Kennal Valley, just perfect for bbq's or a quick drink after the kids have gone to bed. We have even strung fairy lights through the espalier (apple trees to you and me), to give a romantic glow as you enjoy the evening views.

Location:
Blankednick Farm lies within walking distance of the villages of Ponsanooth and Perranwell. They both boast fine pubs, decent playgrounds, and well equipped village shops selling local produce, as well as basic essentials. Just a short drive away is the thriving town of Falmouth, made famous by the sailing regatta and it's multitude of brilliant bars and restaurants overlooking the harbour. Here you can go out fishing or on the pleasure boats, hang out in the bustling town, or just relax on the beautiful sandy beaches of Gyllyngvase or Maenporth. The more adrenaline fuelled North coast surfing beaches are within a twenty minute drive from Blankednick.
Things to do in the immediate area:
For a good walk, there is also the Kennal Valley nature reserve with the remnants of a bygone gunpowder factory with the Kennal river cascading through. The South West coastal path is a mere stones throw from Blankednick, with some breath taking coastal scenery and essential ice cream shops on route to help recharge tired legs.
Nearby is Stithians reservoir, ideal for watersports and nature walks and the great North Coast surfing beaches are around a twenty-five minute drive.
Oh and did we mention the Dynamite Valley Brewery at the bottom of the valley (less than five minute walk) boasting local brews and even a beer cafe for a sundowner...
Getting around:
Although idyllically quiet, Blankednick Lodge is within a stones throw of the A39 which connects Truro to Falmouth to the deep South of Cornwall. Therefore almost anything in the county is easy to access, from the county town of Truro (7 miles away) to the famous surf beaches of the North coast being around a 20 minute drive.
There is also a bus stop within 500 yards of Blankednick going both North to Truro and South to Falmouth if required.
Please ask Ben and Lou the best way to get to places, as we know the secrets of navigating Cornwall, even in peak times!
Located in Truro, this lodge is in a rural area and on a river. Performance Centre and Gwennap Pit are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Enys Gardens and Killiow Golf Club. Traveling with kids? Consider Raze the Roof Indoor Play & Laser Tag and Falmouth Aquarium. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
