Located just a short distance from the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac and the beautiful cove of Port Gaverne, Magpie Cottage is a fabulous, family friendly, rural cottage with distant sea views.
This charming cottage has been beautifully refurbished and provides exceptional accommodation including a characterful sitting room with the original slate floor and beamed ceiling, a cosy wood burning stove and television with Sky; the slate floor and beamed ceiling extends through to the well-equipped kitchen featuring an electric double oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, a decorative Aga adds to the character, however is not in use. Guests will relish creating culinary delights using the abundance of fresh, local produce North Cornwall is so coveted for. Wander through to the dining room where there is ample seating for six guests and french doors lead out to the sun-trap patio, where the barbecue awaits for when alfresco dining is the order of the day. A small study also leads from the kitchen and is ideal for when you need to catch up on some emails or simply find a quiet space. One of the three king-size bedrooms is conveniently located on the ground floor and enjoys its own en-suite shower room and access out to the pretty garden. Upstairs are two additional king-size bedrooms, both with their own en-suite shower rooms.
The historic village of Port Isaac is a wonderful holiday destination with its quaint working harbour and two fresh fish shops. Foodies will head for one (or both) of Nathan Outlaw's Michelin star fish restaurants, however there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from here and in Port Gaverne. Walkers will enjoy the coastal path to Tintagel or Port Isaac, which is easily accessible from Magpie Cottage. For surfers, Trebarwith Strand is less than four miles away. There really is something for everyone from the wonderful base of Magpie Cottage.
