Luxury Beachfront Chalet With Breathtaking Views, Hayle

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 8

Luxury contemporary beach chalet with stunning uninterrupted sea views. The chalet is exceptionally well equipped and has underfloor heating throughout and log burner for comfort. Ty Bach Twt is set right by the amazing beach at Gwithian and has direct access to the beach, wild sand dunes and the Cornish coast path.
The chalet sleeps six comfortably, ideally suited for one family and grandparents, but can accommodate eight in its three bedrooms for shorter periods (two are queen-sized doubles, one en suite — and there’s a fun bunk room for four smaller ones). There’s a wood burning stove, a gas-fired Weber barbecue, two hot and cold après-surf outdoor showers with a privacy screen, a large and luxurious open-plan living space… and the best bit, the bifold doors opening onto the decked terrace looking out over sand-dunes to the sweep of St Ives Bay and Godrevy lighthouse.

Inside Ty Bach Twt
Step into Ty Bach Twt and throw open the bifold doors. You’ll be looking over sand dunes to St Ives Bay with a 180° panoramic view of the sea. In the beach house is a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with light flooding in from all directions. There is a comfy sofa and arm chairs, a wood burning stove and a smart TV (just in case you get bored of the beach) with seating for eight around a chunky wooden table. The kitchen is utterly contemporary and well equipped, with clean lines and lots of storage to keep your holiday clutter free. All other rooms are on the same floor with under floor heating throughout. The master bedroom (with queen-sized double bed and en suite shower room) shares the same dramatic views as the living area so you will be torn between staying in bed and enjoying looking at the beach, or getting out and being on it. There are two more bedrooms, one with a queen-sized double and the other a fun bunk room for four. A lovely family bathroom with large shower completes the accommodation.

Outside the beach house
Ty Bach Twt has generous outdoor space. The decked sun terrace to the front of the beach house is the obvious winner, but tucked away on a higher level is a second seating area which is perfect for a book or a glass of something. The decking continues all around the property and sheltered behind it are the same practical features that exemplify the thought that’s gone into planning this very special place. You’ll find racks for surfboards, a big storage cupboard, two hot and cold outdoor showers for slipping out of wetsuits in comfort, a wetsuit drying rail, and a remote-controlled sun (or rain) canopy. You’ll have a two burner Weber gas-fired barbeque to help you make the most of easy al fresco feasting.
The beach here is one of Cornwall’s best. Life-guarded in the main holiday season, there are miles of sand, scores of enticing rockpools, great for children, beachcombing, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing and sun-worship. But of course it’s the view that defines Ty Bach Twt — you’ll be looking westward across the sweep of the beach to St Ives. At most times of year you’ll enjoy watching the sun plunge over the horizon and the lights of St Ives and Carbis Bay come alive in the darkness over the water.
There is parking for one car. Additional car parking is available at the public car park 500m in front of Sunset Surf Cafe.

Located in Hayle, this chalet is on the waterfront. Godolphin Estate and St. Michael's Mount are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Trevaskis Farm and Hayle Towans Beach. Paradise Park and JungleBarn and Country Skittles are also worth visiting. Windsurfing and surfing/body boarding offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and mountain biking nearby.
