Rosemint Cottage is set in the peaceful village of Stratton on the outskirts of Bude. Truly the best of both worlds, it is only a couple of miles from the seaside, beaches and ice creams, but is a gloriously private hidden retreat transporting guests into a world of creativity and offering a uniquely refined holiday experience surrounded by green countryside.
Inside, Rosemint combines the rustic charm of bohemian beach living with sleek and stylish modern convenience. Exposed whitewashed bricks, vaulted ceilings and a spiral staircase are just some of the unique and playful features of this special home. Gather around the dining table for vibrant feasts at breakfast or dinner, whilst a double-sided wood burner roars in cooler months or the french doors are flung open when it’s warm.
The kitchen is tastefully styled with brass fixtures and fittings exuding luxury and opulence. Excellently equipped, there is everything you need for those wonderful family meals together, including a slimline dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine.
The main living area boasts style and colour alongside characterful antique trunks and trinkets. Along with the plush sofa and armchair, there is also a beautifully dressed window seat from which to admire the rolling hills, and a hanging hammock chair - great fun to curl up in with your favourite book.
The house sleeps up to six adults and two children in total across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms has its own distinct feel as well as crisp cotton sheets of hotel quality. There are two king-size bedrooms on the ground floor, one having its own en-suite shower room. The children's room has medium size bunk beds, suitable for children up to roughly 8-9 years old. The third bedroom offers two small-double beds up on an open mezzanine level, accessed by a spiral staircase - brilliantly suited to older children, teenagers or just the adventurous at heart!
You will also find a lavish family bathroom, beautifully appointed with a deep soak free-standing bath, separate shower enclosure and bespoke hand basin.
Outside, the garden space has plenty to offer, with a generously sized terrace and decking area, lawn, and side patio. The decking area has table and chairs to seat six comfortably, and even a swinging egg chair to relax in. A great place for play or relaxation, guests can enjoy morning coffee in the sun or a glass of something fizzy in the evening with the fire pit alight.
For those who love an outdoor dip, there is an outside bath tub on the side patio, with taps for both hot and cold, so whether it's an outdoor soak under the stars, or a cold water plunge to wake you up, you can relax your way.
Book your stay at Rosemint Cottage directly on the Finest Retreats website, and start looking forward to those sublime interiors!
