This unique first floor accommodation, built in 1868, still has its original wooden beams and staircase and was converted in 1985 into living space for the current owners. Set in 95 acres of farm and woodland, with designated short walks for our guests only. Massage, Physiotherapy and Holistic Treatments are available in the on-site clinic; prices on request.
The barn sleeps max. 5 people, but the downstairs twin bedroom is for adults and older children only, as it has a separate entrance.
The space
This first floor converted barn (now part of Holistic Retreat Centre Embrace) is a self-catering unit which has retained its character, yet has 21st century comforts.
The large cosy living room has a wood-burning stove and the whole unit can be heated by oil-fired central heating, electricity or the stove.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and microwave.
Upstairs also contains a double bedroom, as well as a small adjacent single bedroom. They share the en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin)
Access to the master bedroom and the en-suite bathroom is through the single room.
Downstairs is a twin bedroom with a toilet and wash basin and a separate utility room with washing machine and drying facilities.
Our guests can sit in the garden shed & use our orchard garden with apple trees, gooseberries, raspberries .etc. Private parking, use of the Quiet Room for activities such as reading, writing, reflection.
Designated walks on 95acres, with views of the Mourne Mountains/Isle of Man, extensive local scenery. Strangford Lough, a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty is only a 5 minutes' drive and 3 National Trust properties from 10-35minutes' drive.
Local stores (1.3miles away) can provide everything for your daily needs.
Outskirts of Belfast only 20 minutes away and many smaller towns close by. City Airport 25 minutes and International Airport 45 minutes' drive away. Closest bus transport 1.3 miles.

(URL HIDDEN)The 2 bedrooms upstairs are connected, yet separate,but share the same en-suite, which contains a shower, toilet and wash hand basin.
Entry to the bathroom and master bedroom is through the single room.

Twin bedroom + separate Utility room with Washing Machine.
Guest access
Guests will have access to private parking, designated walks on 95 acres of wood and farmland, quiet room.
Also available, (preferably by prior arrangement to avoid disappointment), are Physiotherapy, Reiki, Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Yoga , Relaxation/Meditation sessions in on-site clinic. Prices on request.

We are living next door (in totally separate accommodation) and will be available to help with anything our guests require
Other things to note
Car hire is recommended. We are situated in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location (nearest public transport 1.3 miles), yet very close to many towns, villages etc.

Located in Newtownards, this vacation home is in a rural area and on a lake. Strangford and Lecale and Scrabo Country Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Downpatrick & County Down Railway and Dundonald International Ice Bowl. Battlefield CQB and Jetpack Adventures are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
