For a taste of city life, continue onto Newry, where you can enjoy leisurely strolls along Newry River, delve into history at the Newry and Mourne Museum, marvel at the remarkable Newry Cathedral, or tour the famous National Trust site of Derrymore House, a delightful house dating back to the 18th-century. Take the drive over to Downpatrick, where you will find the attractions of The Saint Patrick Centre, the Downs Arts Centre, and the excellent St Patrick’s Golf Club. Further afield is Armagh, where you can explore the museums of the Royal Irish Fusiliers, Armagh County Museum, visit the Armagh Observatory, or explore the fascinating ruins of Armagh Friary.
