Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Built as a barn in the 1700s, Barn House Mews is steeped in history and comfortably furnished for your holiday. Part of Barn House, you are seconds away from the beautiful village green at the top of the driveway and all its historic houses. Minutes from the river for walks, picnics and fishing, there is no better village from which to explore the locality.
The space
We purchased Barn House Mews in March 2022 .Since then we have replaced all the furniture and bought nectar memory foam mattresses. Re- carpeted throughout and all new paint, decor, curtains and 400 count egyptian white bedlinen. I have also replaced the crockery with denby as I love their style. I have endeavoured to provide everything you should need in the kitchen etc and there is an iron and ironing board. We do have a travel cot, stairgate and highchairs available but not stored in Barn House Mews. Please give us the heads up if you are bringing babies/toddlers as we are only next door and can ensure these items are ready for your stay.
Guest access
Barn House Mews has a courtyard with large entrance gates which you may close if you wish. We don't use the courtyard much when we have guests but you may see us there especially on bin day putting out the bins.
Other things to note
As it is a converted historic barn, most of the space is upstairs,so sadly Barn House Mews is not accessible. Also due to the open stairwell small children must be supervised at all times.
