Crossmolina 6.3 miles. Churchfield House is an idyllic, 1930’s single-storey bungalow located in Moygownagh, Ballina, with local amenities just a short drive away. Moygownagh is the setting of Sir Samuel Ferguson’s epic poem “The Welshmen of Tirawley” which is based on a true story from the 16th Century. The bungalow sleeps up to ten people and is ideal for a family holiday or a break away with friends. Stepping into the property, there is a spacious lounge area with rich red carpet which features a sofa that can seat up to three people, two armchairs, a Smart TV and an inset fireplace, a comfortable haven to unwind after a day of exploring. There is an additional living/diner space which echoes the rich décor of creams juxtaposed with reds, and contains a sofa which can seat up to three people, two armchairs, a dining table which can seat six people comfortably and an open fireplace. Through the living space, there is a Sun Room which overlooks the lush green gardens of Churchfield House, there are dining chairs and a coffee table, a perfect setting for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and reading a book. The kitchen/diner boasts a number of appliances so guests can prepare meals with ease, with use of an electric stove and hob and solid fuel range, as well as cleverly concealed appliances within the fitted units and a dining area with seating for up to six people. Leaving the kitchen, there is a small utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a freezer and an additional fridge for larger groups to store food. The property has a choice of three bathrooms, one which contains a WC and a single basin, the other which features a WC, a walk-in shower and single basin, and the final bathroom, which has a wet room complete with support rails, a WC and a single basin. Guests have a selection of four rooms to choose from during their stay, comprising a family room with a double and single bed and plush carpet, two double rooms with ample storage, a further family room with a double and single bed, ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement for all groups. Outside, there is a large garden area so plenty of space for children to play or for long walks among nature, as well as the 200-metre lane which leads towards the main road. The town of Ballina is brimming with culture and history, it’s famous River Moy is internationally recognised for its exemplary salmon fishing. Immerse yourself in Ballina’s activities by playing a round of golf at the Ballina Golf Club, take a walk through Belleek Wood and connect with nature, shop and dine in its many café’s and restaurants. Ballycastle offers the World famous Ceide Fields Neolithic site and Visitor Centre. The oldest field system in the world at 5,500 years and is a potential Unesco World Heritage site. It is also home to the dramatic Cliffs of Downpatrick which this year hosts a Red Bull Cliff diving event. It has a delightful café and a small beach and is the gateway to the North Mayo Coastal stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way. Killala is an active fishing port which offers deep sea fishing, an ancient Cathedral, a 12th century Round Tower, and the delighful Ross beach . Crossmolina has Lough Conn one of the best fishing lakes in Ireland and the historic Enniscoe House. Churchfield House is the ideal getaway, from which to explore North Mayo, where guests can have as little or as much privacy as they desire, its rural setting makes it a tranquil stay for guests, whilst the local events allow residents to discover all North Mayo has to offer. .
