Playing host to four lovely double bedrooms, including a family room on the second floor with a double and a single pull-out bed, this cottage can sleep 10 people. There is also a bathroom, a ground floor shower room, a kitchen, utility room, conservatory with a dining table, another dining room and a sitting room with a woodburner. To the outside is an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture, a hot tub and an external shower. There is also ample off-road parking. Hickory House is a home-from-home in a delightful region of Cumbria.

Town: The hamlet of Silecroft is situated on Cumbria’s west coast, within the Lake District National Park, less than five miles from the town of Millom and within driving distance of Broughton-in-Furness. The hamlet offers a pub serving food and a riding stable, plus it’s set on the West Coast branch line, which travels up the Cumbrian coast to as far as Carlisle. Just a short walk away is a sand and shingle beach, plus Black Combe Hill is close by, where from the top views can be seen, and a links golf course is also within easy reach. Further afield is the Coniston Water, along with Windermere and Ambleside.
