There is a £200 refundable deposit to be paid two weeks prior to arrival.. Oakland West is a six bedroomed section of Oakland, once a gentleman’s residence and one of the most historic buildings in Windermere. The property has undergone a complete renovation and now features six en-suite bedrooms sleeping 14. Four of the bedrooms have stunning views over Windermere to the Langdales beyond. On the ground floor there is a huge kitchen diner, which runs the full length of the house. The kitchen area has contemporary units with white stone work surfaces. It is equipped with two dishwashers, a seven ring burner, twin fan oven range cooker, microwave and central island with second sink. There is also a separate walk in larder with two American fridge freezers. On the opposite side of the room is a dining area with seating for 14 around and oak table. For your entertainment there’s a Bose speaker system to plug your phone or laptop into. Adjacent to the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine, dryer, hanging for coats and storage and the all important downstairs toilet. The lounge oozes opulence with 14 seat Chesterfield sofas all warmed by a wide-screen built in wood-burning stove. There is flat screen TV and double doors, which open on to a large patio. The library room is a separate TV room with seating for seven guests in front of a large flat screen TV. This room also has a door opening onto the patio. There are furnished patios to the front and rear of the property. The front patio gets the sun in the morning, the rear gets it in the afternoon, so you really have all angles covered. Oakland West has a no stag, hen or similar group policy due to its quiet residential location. This property is best suited to family holidays, three generation gatherings or 50th, 60th, 70th...birthday parties!
