Property description Set in such an idyllic setting, you will soon lose yourself in the surrounding landscape together with the character and charm of this single-storey lodge. Field House Lodge is perfect for couples who are looking for a rural getaway without the hustle and bustle of the crowds and has been perfectly designed with your comfort in mind. The open plan living space houses the cosy sofa which is perfect for an evening’s rest in front of the electric wood burner whilst watching your favourite show, although you will find it hard not to keep glancing through the double-glazed windows at the surrounding fells and open fields in the distance. If you decide to dine in, the well-equipped kitchen area has everything you will need, but with a hotel just a few minutes away, you may be tempted to some exquisite fine dining.
Wake up after a good night’s sleep, pull back the curtains, and you could very easily find yourself just lying-in bed enjoying the view towards Derwentwater, Skiddaw and Catbells. Once inspired and ready to explore, pull on your walking boots and get ready for a full day’s exploring. Borrowdale Valley offers spectacular walks to suit all. A low-level path will take you right round the lake, or for something a little more challenging, why not catch a boat from the village jetty across the lake to Hawes End, where you can follow a path to one of the most recognised fells in the area, Catbells. The popular market town of Keswick has an abundance of outdoor shops, cafés and restaurants, or if that sounds too much, why not pamper yourselves at the local spa for a little bit of something special to complete your stay. There are five bars and restaurants within a mile of Field House Lodge. Shop 4 miles, pub, and restaurant ¼ mile.
