Nestled in the pretty Langdale hamlet of Chapel Stile, this 19th Century chic Lakeland retreat takes a picture-postcard setting overlooking the Langdale Valley. This sleepy village is an ideal base with its handy shop and excellent country pub yet an abundance of walks and mountain bike routes from its doorstep.
Step inside Fountain Cottage and you'll fall in love with the traditional character and instantly soak up the contemporary luxuries of a meticulous restoration contrasting the old oak beams, thick walls and stone floors with crisp modern decor.
Contemporary comforts spread over the three floors; sumptuous cottage bedrooms, sleek designer bathrooms and a top floor lounge with a newly installed woodburning stove and a furnished, south-facing balcony for lazy summer brunches or just a cool place to chill out after those hard days on the fells.
Lakeland slate on the outside and lovely mountain and village scenes through almost every window.
Active families will have no need to use their car, couples will relish the romantic location and cosy evenings by the woodburning stove and all will be glad of the short walk to the Good Pub Guide listed Wainwrights Inn.
Although this luxurious Lake District cottage is an outdoor lovers paradise, for those who want to just relax and be pampered the Cottage benefits from membership for two adults at the nearby Langdale Country Club. The Club offers a well equipped gym, swimming pool and sauna. Fountain Cottage guests are also able to sign in additional members of their party on the payment of a small day or evening charge. Children under the age of two benefit from free entry.
Come rain or shine whether you are looking for outdoor activity or a peaceful romantic retreat Fountain Cottage offers it all.
