The strategically positioned picture windows enable you to take full advantage of the amazing views. The patio doors open onto a charming enclosed patio, where many lazy days can be spent. One of the king-sized beds can be made up as a twin. Rowanberry Cottage would make a perfect holiday retreat for anyone wishing to explore the central Lake District. == Accommodation in detail: Entrance hall with high-quality cloakroom, leading to the spacious and beautifully fitted kitchen/diner kitchen with washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, double oven, ceramic hob and microwave oven. The light and airy lounge has relaxed furnishings and patio doors, leading to the garden. Upstairs there are two fabulous bedrooms, both with king-sized beds, high-quality en-suite facilities, and excellent views to the surrounding fells. One of the bedrooms can be made up as a twin, so please specify your requirements when you book. Please note that this property is strictly non-smoking, and is unsuitable for babies and children. Private parking is available for two cars. Location: Grasmere is located at the very heart of the Lakes, west of Ambleside and north of both Coniston and Hawkshead. A holiday cottage in Grasmere provides easy access to many famous Lake District walking routes. Stride up to Easedale Tarn in the fells above the village, stroll on the peaceful shores of nearby Rydal Water or take on Fairfield, Silver How or Loughrigg to name but a few! Grasmere village centre has a village green and a number of unique shops, tea rooms and very good restaurants - including the Good Food Guide listed Jumble Room. There are several good pubs in the village and in the surrounding area too. Although hugely popular with tourists and walkers, Grasmere remains a relaxed village location with a fascinating and unique history. Explore the legacy of artists who've been inspired by the landscapes around the village. Of particular note is Heaton Cooper whose studio is in the village. The famous poet William Wordsworth lived in Grasmere while writing some of his most famous poetry. His former home, Dove Cottage, and the Wordsworth Museum can be visited.
