Hey Down is a terraced house built from traditional Lakeland stone and can accommodate up to five adults in three furnished bedrooms, perfect for multiple couples and families. Spread over two floors, the property has a spacious master bedroom on the 1st floor, with a twin room and cosy single on the same floor. The ground floor is the heart of the house and offers a great social space to spend time with family and friends. The well-equipped kitchen leads to the back garden which is enclosed and is complete with garden furniture so you can soak up the afternoon sun.
Hey Down is set in the heart of Keswick and for those of you who know the area well, you won’t be surprised to find that you can access everything this vibrant market town has to offer on foot. Walking from the property, you will reach the River Greta in just 1 minute, where you can either cross at the river to reach Fitz Park (which offers a great area to exercise your four-legged friend) or continue along the riverside and in just 5 minutes (500 yards away), you will hit the bustling town centre, brimming with great restaurants, pubs serving local craft ales, an excellent range of shopping experiences and some memorable tourist attractions.
If you want family fun then visit The Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the world’s largest pencil, ¾ mile away, or visit Puzzling Place which is full of mind-boggling optical illusions, ½ mile away. If you like culture, you have to try the Theatre by the Lake, with its enviable position on the shores of Derwentwater, it offers award-winning performances in drama and arts, and is just ¾ mile away. If you like walking or cycling, you are surrounded by some of the most challenging and iconic fells in the area as well as a number of less challenging walking routes suitable for families.
Keswick is at the northern end of Derwentwater, one of the areas iconic lakes and offers a great base and starting point for many an adventure.
