Resting on the outskirts of Bowness-on-Windermere, just below the Brant Fell, is this immaculate semi-detached cottage, Fellside Lodge. Set over three floors and sleeping up to six guests, this pet-friendly cottage is a charming dwelling for a group trip to the scenic Lake District National Park. You are welcomed to the property by an off-road parking space for two cars, as well as a front patio with bistro-style furniture so guests can enjoy their morning coffee in the fresh air. Stepping in through the porch, which is an ideal place to leave any coats and shoes, then to the sitting room which has a warming woodburning stove and a Smart TV for a relaxing evening with some popcorn. After a long day, when you just need to read the book that you're so close to finishing, head into the lovely snug for some quite time. The kitchen/diner is a stylish and well-equipped spot to rustle up an evening meal to impress your loved ones, as you talk about your fabulous holiday around the dining table, and don't forget to take advantage of the handy dishwasher. The ground-floor also boasts a cloakroom with WC, which then leads down to a utility room which has handy washing facilities and a fully electric motorised professional dog bath, professional dog dryer and hot/cold outdoor tap - your furry friends will love it! Stairs from the sitting room also lead to a lower-ground-floor bedroom which boasts a king-size bed alongside a stunning freestanding bath which is very quirky and romantic, and this is complimented by a dressing table and an en-suite shower room. For those of you who prefer to sleep above ground, head to the first-floor where there are two well-kept bedrooms; a super-king-size which can be a twin to allow for flexible sleeping arrangements, and a king-size which has the added privacy of an en-suite shower room. Both rooms have lovely wooden features and well-thought-out decorations, and they are complimented by a spacious bathroom where guests can soak their muscles after a long day. Outside there is a rear patio, which is enclosed for your furry friends’ safety, with furniture so you can enjoy some al fresco dining and a garage which can be used for bike/canoe storage. From Fellside Lodge you can indulge in a number of bars and eateries, browse round the lovely local shops, visit The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction or learn more about boats and team at the interesting Jetty museum. With Lake Windermere so close by, you can get stuck into watersports, or enjoy a boat trip across to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside. Once in Lakeside, you can visit the popular aquarium or hop aboard the 3.2-mile-long heritage railway to Haverthwaite, and whilst on that side of the Lake, take a tree-top adventure at Go Ape in Grizedale. Also nearby there is a golf course, some great walking and cycling trails and the market town of Ambleside which has a great number of shops, eateries, museums, galleries, and the ruins of a medieval castle. You'll never be bored with Fellside Lodge as your base, so be sure to enjoy the best of the Lake District from your magical holiday home.
