This very special detached stone-built residence stands in an elevated hillside setting with scenic views down the Langdale Valley towards Wetherlam.- a joy in any season and perfect for a lakeland holiday at any time of year.The property has a degree of spaciousness and individuality hard to better in a holiday home and makes a comfortable base for relaxing, touring and walking amid some of our finest scenery. The house was formerly the stables for a grand country house.It stands in its own enclosed gardens with ten acres of adjacent private woodland reached through a separate gate at the end of the terrace. Accommodation: The usual entrance is through the back door which leads into a most useful boot room with heated boot rack and plenty of hanging space for outdoor gear.Well-equipped recently fitted traditional style painted dining/kitchen with fine picture windows opening onto the terrace outside. A door leads through to the spacious sitting room which has a wood burning stove (T.V. with Amazon firebox, DVD, Wi-Fi.
