Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: Glossop, a thriving former mill town, is located in the northwest of Derbyshire and is encircled by breathtaking Peak District landscape. The town has a wide variety of stores, bars, and eateries in addition to a golf course with a pay-per-play system. Glossop Hall, which belonged to the Dukes of Norfolk, previously had its grounds in the area now known as Manor Park. With tennis courts, a children's play area, a semi-natural woodland, and bowling greens, it now makes a great summertime picnic location. Glossop's location near the Peak District National Park, which has a variety of activities for tourists, cyclists, and hikers, makes it a perfect place to explore. These include the serene Hayfield, which is just under five miles away and well-liked by trekkers for its proximity to Kinder Scout.
Located in Glossop, this apartment is in a rural area. Hyde Leisure Pool and Top Gun Flight Simulator Centre are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Canal Street and Market Street. Chestnut Centre Otter, Owl and Wildlife Park and Skate City are also worth visiting. Break out the clubs and hit the links with a golf course nearby, or seek out an adventure with hiking and cycling.
