Post Cottage will greet you with a welcoming atmosphere as you enter the property into a hallway where space is provided to hang your coat and kick off your boots, followed by the kitchen which has all the appliances and equipment for you to cook up your favourite meals, there is also a dining table to seat all three guests and a back door exit to the rear yard where a lovely bistro set awaits you so you can comfortably plan your day ahead over your morning coffee. The sitting room is a good size which can easily seat all guests with smart TV and DVD player. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a single bedroom with family bathroom.
The location of this cottage is fantastic, you are within walking distance to The Black Horse pub or a short 5-minute drive to one of Ashbournes busiest pubs, The Cock Inn at Mugginton and stone throw from the property is a local shop for convenience. You are located 4 miles outside of Ashbourne which offers great shops, eateries, bars and cafés to enjoy. Carsington Water is under a 10 minute drive from the cottage, here you can take the 8 mile route around the lake by bike or walk, plus there are many water activities or bird watching to get involved in, if you have a love for walking the Tissington trail is under 15 minutes away from the property, the famous Dovedale Stepping Stones or slightly further is the Manifold Valley, all fantastic trails to explore. If you are a thrill seeker, visitors to Ashbourne often take advantage of its proximity to Alton Towers theme park, lying just under 30 minutes away from Post Cottage.
