Beautiful recently renovated detached Barn located in a lovely hamlet called Leadmill in Hathersage. Pond View Cottage is situated next to a working Trout Farm and adjacent to the Owners home and it has its own pond side location. The Barn and Pond have been recently renovated. The Mill Pond was originally associated with a 17th century lead smelting mill in the hamlet and it has been restored to safeguard its historical, archaeological and wildlife features. Many of the original traditional features of the Barn have been preserved whilst offering a stylish comfortable retreat within. It is a great place for a relaxing break and to explore the Peak District. There are lovely walks straight from the doorstep. The River Derwent passes south of the village and at Leadmill there is a very picturesque bridge just 2 minutes away from the Barn from where you can take pleasant riverside walks through the woods. It's only a short walk to the shops, cafes and bars in Hathersage.
Located in Hope Valley, this vacation home is in a rural area and on a river. Ridge Walk Mam Tor to Losehill and Bakewell Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Virgin Balloon Flights and Peak Volumes. Chatsworth House Labyrinth and Sheffield Botanical Gardens are also worth visiting.
