Lathkill cottage is a beautifully decorated two-bedroom cottage on the grounds of Stainsborough Hall that sleeps three adults or two adults, one child and one infant in a travel cot.
Recently renovated, the accommodation is all on one level and comprises an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one bedroom with a single bed), and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. We provide everything you'll need for a comfortable stay - Linens and towels are included - and we leave those little things you'll need - such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, bin bags, tea towels, shampoo, conditioner - in your cottage so you don't need to worry about bringing everything with you.
The terrace at the back of the property overlooks the stunning countryside and beautiful gardens and comes complete with a Webber BBQ and outdoor furniture.
We welcome pets - and provide them with their own (darker) towels and welcome packs. We also have fenced fields for them to run around in!
Lathkill cottage is one of four cottages that we have on the property, but its sufficiently private for you to feel you are getting away from it all. But, we do have some communal facilities for you to enjoy - such as the Games Room with a table tennis table and extensive DVD collection, a tennis court, and a children's play area.
From the cottage, you can step straight out onto the many public footpaths that cross the Derbyshire countryside. You can walk directly from our land on the path around Carsington Water (ideal for walking and cycling), the nearest country pub is a 1-mile walk across the fields and you can walk to the market town of Wirksworth over the fields is less than 30 minutes.

Located in Ashbourne, this cottage is in a rural area and near theme parks. Cromford Canal and Heights of Abraham are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Ecclesbourne Valley Railway and Gulliver's Kingdom. Traveling with kids? Consider Crich Tramway Village, or check out an event or a game at Wild Park Derbyshire. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
