Another of the town s unique attractions is the National Stone Centre (1.4 miles), which offers activities such as gem panning and fossil casting. There is even a traditional steam railway, complete with Victorian station cafe. Bakewell, Ashbourne, Dovedale, Matlock Bath (home to Gullivers Kingdom Theme Park), Chatsworth, and Haddon Hall are all within 12 miles. From the external steps outside, head in and pop on your complimentary slippers and wander through to the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers everything you need to rustle up a good meal during your stay including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Plan your days activities ahead or enjoy a celebration meal at the nearby dining table.
