Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: Brassington, a lovely and unspoilt conservation community on the boundaries of the Peak District National Park in the midst of glorious open countryside, is positioned on a hillside. It's a classic Peaks limestone village with several 17th and 18th century dwellings. There are two pubs in the area (both of which serve superb food), and Matlock, Ashbourne, and Bakewell are all nearby. Carsington Water, which covers 750 acres and offers some of the best sailing in the country, is close by. Boating, biking, and windsurfing are also available, as well as stores, a restaurant, and a children's adventure playground. The Peak District is easily accessible from here.
Located in Matlock, this cottage is in a rural area. Peak District Mining Museum & Temple Mine and The Grand Pavilion, Matlock Bath are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Alton Towers and Glass at the Barn. Edward and Vintage and Ecclesbourne Valley Railway are also worth visiting. Sailing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails nearby.
